e-Learning and Social Networking

I wanted to share with you how Colleges and Universities are using e-Learning to recruit students. I went to a conference over spring break and we learned how to market to students using cyber social networking. We heard from some colleges and universities and how they use YouTube to post videos and testimonials about their college. Our guidance counselors are going to use Facebook to post events that are held on campus and videos of these events. You can connect with our alumni and discuss the college. They are also going to start their own blogs to encourage social interaction.

Campus Tours (http://www.campustours.com/) is also another online tool to get information about colleges and universities. This is a great site to gather information about universities/colleges and to take a virtual tour of the campus. You can get all the statistics of the colleges/universities and request more information for many colleges from one site.

The class of 2020 just started kindergarten and we need to reach these students in a way they understand. It is important that we keep with all the new technology so we can communicate with these upcoming students.
